Latest News as Nigerian Senate President Saraki Lands in London to Visit President Buhari

It is clear that the Nigerian Senate president, Bukola Saraki and the speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara have departed for London to meet President Muhammadu Buhari.

Citing a source at the National Assembly, reports that Saraki and Dogara travelled to London on Wednesday morning, February 15, to meet with President Buhari who is currently on holidays in the UK.

Recall the president had on February 5, 2017 written to the National Assembly informing of his desire to extend his leave in order to complete and receive the results of a series of tests recommended by his doctors.

President Buhari has also maintained that he would only return to Nigeria when his London doctors certify him well enough to do so.

Base on current report according to News Men, other members of the legislature including Yusuf Lasun, deputy speaker, and Ahmed Lawan, senate leader are expected in London to visit the President.
Report has it that the meeting is expected to take place Wednesday night.
Just some days ago, the All Progressives national leader, Bola Tinubu and some party chieftains visited Buhari in London. Also, Ibikunle Amosun, Ogun state governor, and Daisy Danjuma had also visited the president, who is on vacation in the UK.
Buhari who was to have returned to the country last week Sunday, but postponed it after his 10-day vacation elapsed. The Presidency has insisted that Buhari is hale and hearty. Presidential aide, Femi Adesina said that the Buhari was in London on vacation and will use the time to undergo medical checkup.
However, Nigerians have been wondering how a President who is on vacation, hale and hearty will find it desirable to be hosting people when he can easily return to the country.
It is not clear what actually is wrong, but Nigerians have expressed fear that the Presidency might not be telling the truth on Buhari's health status.
