 Nigerian Army Nab Notorious Kidnap Kingpin “Burtu”


Latest news as the Nigerian Army have arrested a notorious kidnap kingpin Sani Ibrahim (alias Burtu) after a forest raid in Kaduna on Wednesday 14th June 2017.

According to report troops of 1 Division Nigerian Army successfully carried out clearance operation at Rijana forest, Kaduna State following the disturbing resurgence of armed banditry and kidnappings along Abuja-Kaduna road.

To ensure the arrest of Burtu, the Army troops cordoned armed bandits’ camp at Rijana forest where the suspected notorious
gang leader, Sani Ibrahim (alias Burtu) was arrested.

Burtu has, for a long time, been on the most wanted list of the Security Agencies in Kaduna State.
During the operation, the troops also recovered 1 motorcycle and 25 goats from the camp.
Similarly, troops mounted ambush along Zamfara State border with Kebbi State in which they neutralized 3 armed bandits and recovered 134 cows and 13 sheep.
